It’s not often one gets to ‘pimp’ Mr Tayto’s ride, not once but twice. In collusion with Largo Foods and Amp Visual from the beginning of this top secret project, Simon Murray, of Universal Graphics, personally oversaw the process of turning this exciting concept and visuals into reality. “It’s not often one gets to ‘pimp’ Mr Tayto’s ride so we were delighted to get the opportunity to do it twice. The first thing we had to was get the right team together for the job and in order to make this concept a reality a constant review process was required, in between all the spraying, lacquering and polishing in order to match the reality to the vision;. Equally important as the skilled execution of this project was the initial planning, research and sourcing of all the key elements of parts, people and process. Universal Graphics’ treats every project as special and try to bring something different to everyone. What started out as a white van has been turned into a traffic stopping Tayto ride”, said Simon Murray.
To make this project a reality, the concept came from Amp Visual,
with Universal Graphics responsible for the printing and created the special effects including moulding and sculpting Mr Tayto’s Head, the blue glitter Tayto logo and flame effects. A 4 x 6ft long chrome exhaust was sourced with the first finished model of a full scale Mr Tayto’s head to be mounted on the cab by Universal Graphics. Link to Amp Visual
